MY SERVICES


I am able to provide a wide range of training and consultancy services to Teaching Schools, Mainstream and Special Schools,  Multi Academy Trusts, Local Authorities and Teacher Training providers 
Key notes and Workshops
I can provide keynote speeches and workshops for local and national conferences and other events on Behaviour for Learning or SEN related topics.  
Whole School Development 
I can:
  •  Help you to design, carry out and interpret audits in relation to behaviour and SEN.  
  • Offer support and guidance when reviewing behaviour or SEND policies
  • Act as a critical friend to senior leadership teams in relation to SEND and/or behaviour
Working with Training Schools
I am available to contribute to training programmes, providing input on Behaviour for Learning, general behaviour management, understanding and responding effectively to challenging behaviour and SEMH difficulties  
Training
I am able to provide training to whole school staff or specific groups (e.g. department teams, support staff, midday supervisors, governors) in relation to:

  • SEND related topics  
  • Behaviour for Learning
  • General behaviour management
  • Anger management/de-escalation, responding effectively to challenging barehviour

Training can take the form of whole staff development days, individual twilight sessions, a sequence of twilights, etc.  It can be tailored to suit your needs and usual ways of organising staff development 

Training is also available for Local Authority support teams (e.g.  Behaviour Support staff)
SENCO mentoring
I can offer mentoring to new and  more experienced SENCOs.   This can take the form of 'one off' visits to act as a critical friend  in relation to specific issues or a longer term relationship based on a series of sessions.  Areas that could be a focus include but are not limited to: 
  • Identification of SEN
  • Whole school systems and processes (e.g/ provision mapping, pupil progress review meetings) 
  • Class teacher responsibility for SEN
  • Interpreting Local Authority guidance
  • The Assess, Plan, Do, Review cycle
  • Deployment of Support Staff
  • Pupil and parent voice
  • Managing the demands of the National Award for SEN Coordination
Beginning and early career teachers 
There are now many routes to Qualified Teachers Status. I can offer:

  • Training and mentoring for NQTs and and early career teachers 
  • Input to school and university based teacher training programmes 
  • Input to Local Authority organised events for NQTs
  • 'Train the trainer' work with those providing training for beginning and early career teachers
Expert Advisor support
I am available to act as an external expert advisor for:

  • Local Authority 'deep dives' and policy review and development 
  • Projects commissioned by central government
  • Charity and voluntary sector projects
  • Multi Academy Trust projects and initiatives
